Day 1 - Arriving Down Under

An overcast day with a few showers on the way to the airport but it was all sunshine when mother and son were reunited - the only one with tears in her eyes were Bek! Fancy that.

Settled into the most sought after address in Sydney...and the cheapest. Word on the street is price hike late December!!
Chalky modelled his new clothes (and some of Beks - picture available by request only). We were all knackered so headed to bed to recharge the batteries.

The book on Horsforth Golf Club is a real prize asset, I don't think it's widely available in Sydney just yet!!!

By 6pm we were popping the champagne with a Welcome to Oz party for Joan. The fare was an Aussie BBQ complete with a few shrimps. David, Margie and Travis completed the party, arriving with a bunch of native Australian flowers and balloon.

A great night that wore us all out and we were in bed for 9.30pm.
